I was born in West Valley City, Utah, where I have resided most of my life.  I am an owner of TheRedSign.net, a local real estate company.  If you know me personally, please add me to your Facebook, as I’ve found this is an excellent way to keep in touch.

I don’t have any particular affinity for sports other than swimming and water polo, as these were the only sports my parents could afford to pay for as I was a child growing up.  I stuck with swimming up until my days at Hunter High school, which makes for a total of 13 years swimming.  Unfortunately I am no longer the fish I used to  be.  I attended High School at Hunter High, and am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, more commonly known as Mormons.  I served a mission for my faith for two years in the mighty Texas San Antonio Mission, commonly known by its beloved acronym “TSAM”, which covers the south central part of Texas from Georgetown and Austin in the north to San Antonio, Del Rio, and Eagle Pass in the south.  It was a very rewarding experience.  I grew in many ways during those two years, so much so that I reflect upon the lessons I learned quite often.  It is an experience I would recommend to anybody if they are worthy and desirous to serve God.  The greatest benefactor that you’ll ever meet on your mission is yourself.

As a result of my mission I learned the Spanish language, though I would be hesitant to call myself fluent, as I am often apt to horrible grammar and terrible syntax.  As you can imagine in Texas, there was a lot of Texmex or Spanglish.  Yet still I practice it, as I love the Spanish language and those who speak it.

Presently I am preparing to attend Utah Valley University after having attended a semester at Salt Lake Community College in Spring 2008.  I am excited to go down and make many new friends and acquaintances.  I will obtain my associates from UVU afterwhich I will apply to BYU for my Bachelors in Business and likely receive my masters degree from BYU as well in the Executive MBA program.  I have my work cut out for me.

In the way of interests I would describe mine as diverse.  I enjoy reading and writing, politics, history, religion, science, drawing, photography, hiking, mountain biking, four wheeling, shooting guns, fishing with friends, snowboarding, camping, video gaming, socializing, sports (especially with those on my low level of ability), frisbee golf, water skiing,  and meeting new people.

I’m a big dreamer, I feel I have to be.  The greatest fear in my life is reaching its end and not feeling as though I have done my best.  I don’t define success as monetary gain, though I do define success as having tried my best, and if I fail then I’ll have learned one way to not be successful, and I can avoid doing that again.  Afterall, have you ever felt ashamed that your best wasn’t good enough?  If you’ve truely given it your all, you’ll realize that your simply not ready for your goal yet, and can devise a plan to achieving it.  I would be very ashamed to get to the end of my life not having tried to help my fellow man to the best of my own God given abilities.  I deeply feel that each of us are endowed with talents and abilities unique to ourselves, that are meant to be used to bless those around us.  While our efforts mostly go unnoticed, it is imperative that we strive to be our very best, and take a personal pride in doing so.  This principle must be applied to our work, our relationships, and our families.

And this is the basis of my blog, my philosophies and thoughts.  Please feel free to contribute to any of my articles I post.  I welcome your opinion.
